Swiss media RTS and Leman Bleu refer to the most recent CORESO study published by the canton of Vaud, which shows a conformity rate of 80.9% of companies regarding the gender pay gap, which is significantly lower than the 99.3% claimed by the Swiss employers' organisation in a study published on 14 June 2023.

In an interview with Leman Bleu, Florian Chavez, director of CORESO, said that the results of the Swiss employers' organisation study might suffer from sample selection bias due to the self-reporting of results by participating companies. In addition, all results are based on companies’ self-assessment using the Logib analysis tool.

CORESO’s study in collaboration with the Canton of Vaud uses data from the representative Swiss Salary Structure Survey 2018 (ESS in French) collected by the Swiss Federal Statistical Office to estimate the within-company wage gap for more than 2 800 companies. In contrast, the study published by the Swiss employers’ organisation is based on 615 companies who chose to participate in its survey.
