The project

The Swiss Federal Inspectorate for Heavy Current Installations (ESTI) is the supervisory and control authority for electrical installations in Switzerland. It ensures that these installations are planned, constructed and maintained in a safe and environmentally friendly manner. As part of the planning approval procedures, the ESTI asks certain authorities for a statement, which was previously done by regular mail. ESTI has commissioned CORESO to create a secure online platform that simplifies the dispatch of documents, including plans, to the authorities.

Our contribution

CORESO has developed a platform for ESTI to securely exchange documents with other authorities. Instead of sending the documents by postal service, they are now being uploaded to the platform and can be downloaded by the recipient within a certain period of time. The system was tailored to meet ESTI's needs and includes elements that other exchange platforms do not provide. During implementation, the highest priority was given to ease of use, data security and data protection.

The outcome

The platform was planned, implemented and put into operation within a few weeks. It now allows documents to be sent securely, quickly and in an environmentally friendly manner, thus contributing to an efficient process.

This collaboration has been extended after a first development was delivered in July 2021.
