Balanced decision making. Together.
The Federal Inspectorate for Heavy Current Installations (ESTI) is the Swiss authority responsible for supervising and inspecting electrical installations, whether high, low or very low voltage. It ensures that these installations comply with current technical standards, issues inspection permits and grants connection authorisations, with a view to safety and environmental sustainability.
In order to simplify permit issuance, ESTI entrusted CORESO with developing a secure web platform to manage the exams required for limited installation authorisations.
CORESO conceived and deployed a comprehensive web platform specifically adapted to examinations for limited permit installations in accordance with the Ordinance on Low Voltage Installations (OIBT/NIV).
This platform is integrated into the ESTI registration system: it automatically transmits the results of assessments once they are available. It is based on modern and flexible technologies for a dynamic and adaptable interface.
ESTI now has an integrated digital tool that combines:
This platform enables:
This solution aims to streamline the management of authorisations under the Low Voltage Installations Ordinance (OIBT/NIV), considerably reducing the administrative burden on ESTI. It thus frees up resources for tasks with higher added value.
This project illustrates a successful digital transformation, co-developed with the ESTI team and aligned with its needs in terms of technology, data management, and process re-engineering.
