Gabriel is in charge of the Geographic Information System (GIS) analyses at the National Laboratory of Public Policy (LNPP) in Mexico City.

Previously he has been working at the National Autonomous University of Mexico for the institute for geography, the institute for geology and the faculty of architecture. Gabriel was involved in the development and implementation of Geographic Information Systems in research projects related to environmental issues and city planning. For the Mexican Petroleum Institute, he developed digital cartography and performed aerial image recovery and GPS-measurement.
