Getting a sense of inclusion, participation and scientific basis during the decision making stage can make a difference in how we tackle and adapt to today's complex challenges, as well as on how we adopt solutions when we've been part of the change.

Mayra is in charge of business management and the company’s positioning, including expanding its footprint by driving differentiation, awareness and demand. Her contribution to projects focuses on data analysis, survey design, data collection and manipulation to optimise outcomes. Her main professional interests involve technology, transport, gender inequality and corporate social responsibility.

She brings about 10 years of experience in marketing, communications and commercial operations; most recently with SITA, where she spent 7 years of her career and was responsible for planning and managing integrated marketing and communications strategies mainly for the company’s Latin American business.

Prior to SITA, Mayra was evaluation coordinator to the International AIDS Society (IAS), where she delivered the largest annual AIDS-related event report and was responsible for a team of 20 people to ensure that survey feedback and data was properly captured in the field.

In the past, she has been treasurer and project representative to donors for various non-for-profit organisations active in Laos, Burkina Faso, Madagascar and across Latin America in the renewable energy, water sanitation, health, intellectual property and education fields.
