Getting a sense of inclusion, participation and evidence-based evaluation during the decision-making stage can make a difference in how we tackle and adapt to today's complex challenges, as well as on how we adopt solutions when we've been part of the change.

Mayra is data analyst, specialised content writer, human resources representative and responsible for the company's positioning, including expanding its footprint by driving differentiation, awareness and demand. She brings a decade of experience in strategic marketing, communications and business operations. Her main professional interests involve technology and innovation, transport and mobility, gender equity and equality, as well as corporate social responsibility.

Since 2022, Mayra is member of the expert group dedicated to equal pay controls carried out in Switzerland at national level.

Previously, Mayra spent 7 years of her career in SITA, a company providing IT solutions to the air transport industry, in which she was responsible for planning and managing integrated marketing and communications strategies mainly for the company’s Latin American business. In this role, she could also contribute to drive initiatives in favour of women in aviation with the International Aviation Womens Association (IAWA), including the coordination of other participations in high-level events across the region.

Prior to SITA, Mayra was evaluation coordinator at the Geneva-based International AIDS Society (IAS), where she delivered the annual report on the world's largest AIDS-related event and was responsible for a field team dedicated to capturing data through an on-site survey.

In the past, she has served as treasurer and project representative to donors for various non-for-profit organisations active in Laos, Burkina Faso, Madagascar and across Latin America in the renewable energy, water sanitation, health, intellectual property and education fields.
